Through our new Binyan HaBAYT initiative you can help build an exciting future for our Shul and other factors dramatically impacted the Shul’s finances. Last year, we launched a crisis campaign that you and many other members generously supported. The campaign will continue with a number of upcoming events and activities. We are confident that it will allow the Shul to address its short-term challenges.
Now, we must turn our attention to the long-term and the new reality financial that confronts the Shul. Revenue from membership contributions and catering commissions will no longer be enough to sustain a thriving kehilla of over 700 members. Continuing to meet the needs of our members and the community requires increased, reliable and enduring revenue. That is the goal of Binyan HaBAYT.
When you participate in Binyan HaBAYT you agree to pay annual membership dues that are above and beyond standard membership amounts. In appreciation, you will be recognized in various ways and will receive many important benefits. Depending on your annual giving level, these include reserved High Holiday seating, VIP seating at Shul events and free admission to many programs. A full listing of giving levels and accompanying benefits is on the other side of this letter.
With its remarkable success over the past 40 years the BAYT has touched the lives of thousands of Jewish families in Thornhill and beyond. Today, under the leadership of Rabbi Korobkin along with our Executive and Board, we are planning for a vibrant and exciting future. With a new Assistant Rabbi, our new youth directors as well as many new initiatives, we are re-opening ready to serve our members and the community. We will be a magnet for Jewish living and learning in Vaughan as well as a leader among Orthodox shuls.
As a builder in our Binyan HaBAYT campaign, you have the opportunity to become a pillar of the future and part of a select corps of visionaries who are ensuring the success of our Shul. We look forward to having you join many others who have become Binyan HaBAYT builders.
